Toowoomba Grammar boss highest paid in Queensland
HE HAS a team of 300 staff, is directly responsible for 1200 young men, has thousands of customers and makes more than $450,000 a year.
He isn't the CEO of a major company, the head of a multi-national mining company or some whiz-bang techie with significant influence in the digital world.
He's a school principal!
An annual report tabled in State Parliament has revealed Toowoomba Grammar School's principal Peter Hauser is the highest paid Grammar school headmaster in Queensland.
His total annual remuneration for 2013 was $463,000.
That included a base wage of $365,000 and non-monetary benefits of $65,000.
He earnt more than Brisbane Grammar School's principal, who made a base wage of $319,000 and non-monetary benefits of $77,000.
Mr Hauser's 2013 remuneration increased significantly from 2012 when he earned a base wage of $279,000 and non-monetary benefits of $87,000.
