Strip club booms: Vault pulls 1500 patrons a week
UPDATE: The Vault on Ruthven dancer Ruby Daniels gives some insight into being named Exotic Angels performer of the year at the Gold Coast Sexpo.
There is a lot more work involved than one might expect, although she said much of her winning performance was ad-libbed.
"I had a couple of weeks to prepare my costume and props. That part was easy," Ms Daniels said.
"Practising my performance on the other hand... I only got the chance to rehearse for literally two hours on my day off, four weeks before the comp, and had 20 minutes to have a quick sound-check on my music track and get a feel of the stage at the venue a day before the competition!

This poll ended on 30 July 2014.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
"Now that I know what it's like to compete in this kind of competition I'll give a little more time to prepare my show!"
"I only practiced my introduction then the rest of my show I just made it up as go!
"But it worked out perfectly in the end! I couldn't be more happier!"

Ms Daniels is based on the Gold Coast but has spent much of her time in the Garden City since joining The Vault.
"I absolutely love it here in Toowoomba!" she said.
"I can say I have met some truly amazing people here, everyone is so friendly and welcoming.
"It's a comforting feeling and if it wasn't for The Vault I wouldn't have taken home the titles I won.
"It's my home away from home."
The Exotic Angels win has opened up new opportunities for the dancer, who says she has been working on some death-defying routines.
"I have a couple of new performances I'm working on at the moment with colourful costumes and bigger props that hopefully I can use and take home another title!" she said/
"One little sneak peek: an up-coming show of mine involves a lyra hoop that I do acrobatics in whilst it's suspended in the air!"
EARLIER AT 6AM: TOOWOOMBA has welcomed the city's only strip club with open arms and open wallets.
The Vault on Ruthven has drawn thousands of patrons each week even after the initial wave of interest afforded by its opening in March died down.
Manager Thor Valmuur said the club was pulling in more than 1500 patrons each week - more when major events have been on.
The Surat Basin Energy and Mining Expo brought a lot of new faces, and money, into the venue.
"The expo and State of Origin in the same week made it a really busy one," Mr Valmuur said.
"We had 2000 people through the door that week."
The club has also broken the seal on its trophy cabinet, with one of its dancers taking out a national award at the Gold Coast Sexpo earlier this month.
Ruby Daniels was named Exotic Angels performer of the year after an acrobatic pole-dance routine in which she portrayed a veiled nun - although, the veil did not last too long.
"We made Ruby our Vault ambassador so we could support her and to help raise awareness about our new business in the industry," Mr Valmuur.
"Getting a national award in our very first year is quite an achievement."
