Toowoomba unit damaged after blaze breaks out
A TOOWOOMBA unit has been partially destroyed after a blaze started last night.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to the Bernard St, Newtown unit about 6.23pm.
A QFES spokeswoman said the fire was evident in the garage when crews arrived.
Nobody was home at the time of the blaze.
Crews were able to bring it under control and left the scene about 7.22pm.
Paramedics were also at the scene to treat one person for possible smoke inhalation.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause.
