Initial Report: 8.40am

A TRUCK rollover has caused huge delays on the Pacific Motorway south of Chinderah.

According to a Transport Management Centre spokesperson, all northbound lanes are closed at Chinderah, after a B-double rolled over just before 5am Friday morning.

All northbound traffic is being diverted to Tweed Valley Way.

As this diversion isn't suitable for vehicles over 19 metres, masses of trucks have been parked along the highway.

Heavy vehicles are banked up at least as far south as the Cabarita exit.

It's understood Southbound traffic has not been affected at this point.

Emergency services were still on the scene as of 8.30am.
