Twilight markets combine shopping with scenery

THE summer season of The Twilight Markets kicks off at Caloundra's Bulcock Beach tomorrow, Friday, December 2.

The family-friendly market features more than 150 stalls including street food, gourmet sweets, handmade artisan crafts, fashion and jewellery, and offers entertainment with live music and street performers.

The markets along the esplanade will run December 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 as well as January 2, 13 and 20 from 5pm to 9pm.

A special visitor will be dropping by on December 16 and 23, so be sure to bring the kids along and don't forget your camera.

Whether you're a visitor or a local, you'll love the festivities and energy of The Twilight Markets, not to mention the beautiful backdrop of the Glass House Mountains with the sun setting over Pumicestone Passage.

Twilight Markets will host various entertainment acts such as: December 2, Hoo8Hoo, Dave Stygall, Jason Fichera and Laree; December 9, Andrew Redford and Genaro; December 16, Hoo8Hoo, Dave Stygall, Jason Fichera and Laree, and Sambazzy; December 23, The Antics and Andrew Redford; December 30, Dave Stygall and Sambazzy; January 6, Matt James, Adam Scriven, Jason Fichera and Laree; January 13, The Antics, Dave Stygall, Dragon and Turtle, and Sambazzy; and January 20, Hoo8Hoo, AZU.R, Jason Fichera and Laree.

Those looking to do their Christmas shopping will be treated to delicious aromas of locally prepared food and brightly decorated market stalls.
