Two injured in ethanol burner explosion

TWO people suffered burns after an explosion in Wurtulla overnight.

Emergency services were called at 10.07pm on Saturday to reports of an ethanol burner explosion at a Turnbuckle Ct home.

The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said two adults received superficial burns and were taken to Nambour General Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman suffered a shoulder injury during a bicycle crash at Buderim on Sunday.

Paramedics were called to Cogill Rd about 6.30am.

The woman was taken to Nambour General Hospital for treatment.
