ROUNDABOUTS, giving way and using mobile phones are some of Queensland's least understood road rules.
RACQ spokeswoman Lauren Ritchie said roundabouts, giving way to pedestrians, using mobile phones, keeping left, and when to use fog lights were the five most misunderstood road rules.
Most Queenslanders won't be surprised to see roundabouts, giving way and mobile phone use while driving are on the list. These are some of the most frequent errors we see on the road," she said.
"But most of these rules are straight out of driving 101 and many minor crashes are caused by drivers not following some of these very basic road rules."
She said knowing the road rules was the responsibility of everyone who had a licence.
