Wicked treats will tempt you
IS THE promise of good coffee and a wickedly delicious Belgian chocolate and sour cherry brownie sufficient to entice you through the doors of the South Pacific Resort in Webya Rd?
Perhaps it's an open steak sandwich with onion rings or house-cured salmon with crushed potatoes or even a beetroot and feta tart.
If that's not enticement enough, then the promise of tropical lushness in a poolside location should tempt you in.
South Pacific's restaurant tucked away beneath the palm trees by the pool at the resort, is open to all of us.
Some are shy to step inside, but we shouldn't be.
A warm welcome waits with plenty of temptations starting at breakfast and going through the morning until after lunch.
The restaurant is moving towards a more bistro style of presentation and promises daily lunch specials at $12, sublime salads at $14, and main meals under $20.
In a resort town full of glamorous locations, this one at South Pacific is another and a tropical change from beach or river front.
You feel as though you are in another world once inside among the gardens.
The restaurant is the perfect location for functions including weddings and birthday parties. Anything can be arranged. - Ann Rickard
