Pedestrians flee alleged drink-driver’s path

A WOMAN has been arrested after allegedly drink-driving along the pedestrian boardwalk in Brisbane's south.

Police will allege the woman was drink-driving an unregistered vehicle with a disqualified license along the footpath near the art galleries at South Bank late Tuesday night.

The car was found at 6.50pm yesterday on a boardwalk near Kurilpa Bridge.

Pedestrians and cyclists were allegedly forced to get out of the woman's way as she ignored signs preventing cars from accessing the path.

The woman was taken into custody and is expected to be charged.

She has been charged with three offences and will appear in court next month.
