THE Sunshine Coast Youth Band will be performing its final concert of the year at the Nambour Salvation Army on Friday, November 25.

The band was recently crowned Queensland Champion and plans for an interstate tour next year to compete at the Australian Band Championships in Launceston are well under way.

The final concert will feature music that has seen so much eisteddfod and competition success from soloists to ensembles to full band.

The band will play a variety of music from swing, to jazz to fanfare and popular favourites.

The 28-piece band comprises some of the finest brass players on the Coast, aged between 10 and 19.

The one-hour concert starts at 6pm and entry cost will be by donation.
