Member for Redcliffe new foot soldier for opposition

THE freshly-minted Labor member for Redcliffe Yvette D'ath is a much-needed new foot soldier for wildly outnumbered Queensland Opposition.

Ms D'Ath attended her first Parliamentary sitting on today, taking Labor's seats to eight out of 89.

She won the seat in the February 22 by-election following the expulsion of disgraced former LNP member Scott Driscoll.

Following an investigation into apparently dodgy business dealings, Mr Driscoll was first suspended from the LNP then in November was forced to relinquish his seat and fined $90,000.
